How we help

Helping you make the big decisions about your future

The immediate joys and challenges of family life are enough to keep anyone busy, but taking time to focus on the future will help you achieve the success and security you want for you and your loved ones.

Our team will spend the time with you to uncover your goals and aspirations and then work with you to create a bespoke financial plan that is designed around you.

Our Process

We’re passionate about what we do, and about delivering great outcomes for clients. However, our results will only ever be as good as the work we put into understanding our clients’ goals, aspirations and what you desire for the future.

We therefore take the time to understand all this before aligning our planning to what you say is important to you.

You will be introduced to our three stage process that delivers REAL financial planning.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

At our initial meeting we take the first steps to help you understand how we work, and more importantly, we take our first steps in understanding you, your needs and what’s important to you.

We hope to learn lots about you, so come prepared.

At our second meeting we revisit our first meeting highlights, define some of your key goals and problems, and then start to outline some solutions that will start to shape your plan for the future.

The meeting also enables us to help you understand how our solutions can benefit you and add value in order to meet your needs.

We can then discuss the next steps.

At this presentation meeting we present our recommendations and the solutions we believe are aligned to your future aspirations. We do this by taking the time to clearly explain how things work – our aim is to ensure you leave the meeting feeling confident that the planning meets your needs.

Advice and Services

For every stage of life

No matter where you are in life, we’ll help you think about the things that are important to you and create a strategy to protect the things that count. We take the time to understand your needs and help you navigate your thoughts to unlock your goals and aspirations.

We then align our advice to what you say is important to you.

Whether you’re an individual with eyes on the future, you have a young family or your kids are growing fast, our service is always built around you.

Helping to grow and protect your wealth

You might be accumulating wealth, or consolidating it, or perhaps you’re considering how best to pass it on to those who come after you. Whatever your goals, we’ll help you protect your wealth and grow it in the ways you want.

Looking after you and your loved ones

Preparing for the future means understanding that life can be unpredictable. We work closely with you to identify who and what you want to protect, with strategies covering insurance and income protection in case unwelcome events come along.

Planning your retirement and beyond

Retirement may be a far off prospect or it might be a pressing concern. Either way, the financial strategy we design will help you focus on the retirement you’re hoping for so you can be confident of enjoying every stage of life.

Helping children and future generations

Your financial plan isn’t just about you. It’s about maximising your wealth for future generations too, and using it in ways that can help those you love to take their own steps towards financial success.

ISAs and savings planning

Saving for the future is always a wise financial strategy, but knowing where to place your hard-earned money and when to move it can make a significant difference to how well your savings grow. Whether you have lump sums to save or you want to know the best place for regular deposits, we look at all your options as part of your strategic financial plan.

The value of an ISA with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds selected and may fall as well as rise.  You may get back less than you invested.

The favourable tax treatment of ISAs may be subject to changes in legislation in the future.

There are a number of reasons why setting up a trust might be a course of action you want to take. For instance, you may wish to pass assets on to a dependent child for use when they’re older, or you might be advised to use a trust as part of your inheritance tax planning. Whatever the reason, we can help you consider the benefits and, if necessary, guide you through the process of setting one up.

Trusts are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Access to specialist banking and mortgages

From helping you find the right place to keep your cash to choosing a competitive mortgage, we’ll help you navigate the options available and make the best use of your funds. Everyone’s needs are different, and with so many possibilities, it pays to take the advice of an expert before you make any decisions.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
